No, absolutely not! Meetings will always be open to the public. All are welcome! Of course we would like you to join, but if you can’t afford it, or you just don’t want to be a member, you can still attend the presentation, eat and drink, buy items in the auction, buy raffle tickets, and donate stuff to the club.
AAA Membership Fee:The AAA membership fee is $25 per person per year, with the year ending on 31 March of every year.
Family membership is $35, with family meaning two adults plus dependents.
You can pick up your Membership Card at one of the monthly AAA meetings. If you prefer to have your card sent in the mail, please ad $5 to the order, and email your address to info@aquarium.nz.
How can I join?1. You can come to one of our monthly AAA meetings, fill in a paper form, and pay in cash.
2. You can
click here to submit your contact details online. After you submitted the form, please go to your banking app, and pay by bank transfer to: Karl Mueller, 01-0190-0858963-02. After you paid, please let us know at info@aquarium.nz.
As a side note, the banking system in NZ is in the process of changing. This will apply to all banks! Up to now for a transfer we only needed the account number. Starting around now, one also needs to get the name of the account holder right, in this case it's Karl Mueller. The AAA should soon have its own account.
As incorporated society, we are required to collect name, email address, and phone number. Without those details, we can’t legally sign you up. Providing the name you use in the AAA Facebook Group (if not your real name) and aquaristic interests is optional. You can download a

*) When you present your AAA membership card at a participating business, you will very likely receive a 10% discount on your purchases - if you ask nicely!
The discount is given at the discretion of the business owner. It is not your right, and you are not entitled to it. If an item is already highly discounted, or if the product has an unusually low profit margin, the owner might not be able to grant the discount.
Expect to be asked to pay by cash or EFTPOS, not credit card, afterpay, and so on. Remember that the AAA is not sponsored by large corporations. Times are tough for small business owners.
